Next school year, Michael will be going to a young 5 program for late birthday kindergartners. You can start school here if your birthday is before Dec. of the school year. It is a fabulous program hosted at a neighboring school. The curriculum is the same as a regular kindergarten, just a little slower paced, and most kids then end up just starting kindergarten the next year. They have a huge indoor playground, the gross motor skills room, and he'll go to music, and art, and gym and Spanish (hmm... I wonder how that will go??? Ha Ha!)
The great thing is that he's actually excited about it!!! (The kid who cries over Primary!!! - of course, I did too when I was in the Presidency in our last ward!)
He went the other day to meet the teachers and the kids and get a feel for the school. They read him a story about an alligator and a frog and he made a paper frog to take home. When he came out, Danny asked him what he thought and he said - "GREAT!"
...miracles never cease. We'll see how it goes when he has to go everyday!
