Okay, so it's time to step up and meet the public outcry for a blog.I bridled my paranoia over living in a fishbowl long enough to realize that we're not endangering our privacy by any stretch of the imagination. Since this blog will be a drop in an ocean of family blogs, I'll bet that almost nobody is going stumble upon it that doesn't already know us. And if they do, I expect that we'll bore them enough that they'll regret it.

Now as far as the blog title goes, it's a line from Peter Pan -- if you didn't recognize it. As it turns out, thinking happy thoughts is the key to flying ... that and pixie dust. In any case, that little elfish boy has been a part of our lives for quite a long time.Besides watching the Disney movie a zillion times, each of the kids (except the one with only 4 teeth) has gone through a pronounced Peter Pan phase. Alexandra introduced herself as "Tinkerbell" before she learned to call herself by the name we gave her. And for their part, Christian and Michael have logged probably more than 200 man hours a piece wearing a Peter Pan costume that Christian first wore during the Halloween when he was 4.
